CHARLOTTE - (July 11, 2019) – Delivering on their promise to provide a dynamic mixed-use living experience, Crescent Communities today announced the commitment of three carefully selected retailers to occupy the retail space at NOVEL Montford Park by Crescent Communities. Waterbean Coffee, F45 Training, and Vintage Nail Bar will occupy approximately 6,000 of the 15,000 square feet of retail space available in the mixed-use community. The retail spaces are expected to open in late 2019 or early 2020.
NOVEL Montford Park will be Waterbean Coffee’s fourth location for this Charlotte based certified organic coffee shop and roastery. In addition to traditional coffee-based beverages, Waterbean Coffee will offer light entertainment, small bites and a limited selection of beer and wine and will remain open from the morning through the evening.
F45 Training is a physical fitness team training program offering 45-minute high intensity workouts. One of the fastest growing fitness franchises worldwide, this location represents the 4th Charlotte-area offering. F45 can also be found in Cornelius, Midtown, and Plaza Midwood.
Vintage Nail Bar is a Charlotte-based retail nail salon with one existing location in the Terraces at Southpark at the corner of Fairview and Sharon Roads. Building on the success of their first location, the salon is seeking to expand to the Montford area.
Retail leasing at NOVEL Montford Park is being managed by Legacy Real Estate Advisors.
“The addition of these tenants supports our approach of incorporating a diverse offering of sought-after amenities and conveniences within our communities,” commented Michael Tubridy, Managing Director of the Carolinas for Crescent Communities. “These new retailers will be a welcome addition not only to our residents, but to the broader Montford Park Neighborhood, which continues to transform into one of Charlotte’s most walkable areas.”
Featuring distinct mid-century design elements that reflect the architecture of the surrounding area, namely Park Road Shopping Center, NOVEL Montford Park is designed to be an upscale living experience in a walkable mixed-use community. Located only minutes from the heart of Southpark, and less than a half mile from Park Road Shopping Center and Little Sugar Creek Greenway, the apartment home community features unique amenities like a rooftop terrace, two dog parks, cabanas by the pool, EV charging stations, a B-Cycle bike share station and unobstructed views of Uptown with easy access to an abundance of established shopping, dining and recreational destinations in the area. NOVEL Montford Park welcomed its first residents in April.
NOVEL Montford Park is one of five multifamily communities that Crescent Communities has under construction or in lease-up in Charlotte, totaling more than 1,700 units, all with a focus on access to walkable mixed-use and retail offerings. Both NOVEL Stonewall Station and NOVEL NoDa are located near Uptown Charlotte and are approaching stabilization. NOVEL Research Park in the University Area is leasing. NOVEL Atherton in South End will begin preleasing later this month. More broadly, the company has a growing multifamily footprint, including 6,400 units under construction and in operations, representing a total investment of $1.6 billion.
