Orlando, FL (April 15, 2021) – Crescent Communities is pleased to announce that organic & natural grocery chain Earth Fare will be returning to its former location in the mixed-use community of NOVEL Lucerne on Saturday, April 24th, 2021.The popular market will once again occupy the 24,000 square foot space it held on the ground floor of the community located at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Gore Street.
With this opening, Earth Fare will join the recently announced 3,000 square foot personalized fitness training concept, Eat The Frog Fitness as onsite operators in the luxury NOVEL Lucerne community.
In early 2020, Earth Fare closed all of its 50 locations following the previous ownership’s bankruptcy declaration. It has since been revitalized through an investment from Hulsing Enterprises and its president and CEO, Dennis Hulsing, as well as Earth Fare advocate, Randy Talley, and Earth Fare’s President, Mike Cianciarulo. The new ownership group has opened 20 locations throughout the East Coast with plans of ongoing expansion. The grocer will continue to stay true to its unparalleled Food Philosophy, offering the highest quality natural and organic ingredients in the industry and will have a continued mission of improving lives by making healthy food available to all.
“We are thrilled to announce the return of NOVEL Lucerne’s beloved Earth Fare” says Eric Liebendorfer, Development Manager of Crescent Communities. “Our community of residents and the surrounding SoDo and Downtown neighborhoods relied heavily on Earth Fare for their grocery needs, and we are excited to be partnering once again with one of the preeminent organic grocers with an aligned mission - to Better People’s Lives.”
JLL’s Justin Greider and Brandon Delanois secured the retail lease on behalf of Crescent Communities.
“As demand for grocery shopping continues to rise, the timing of Earth Fare’s opening will help meet this growing demand and fill a void for organic and natural foods, greatly benefitting the surrounding communities of SoDo and Downtown,” Greider said.
The retail space has undergone minor renovations, and will have a grand opening on Saturday, April 24th, 2021. Doors will open at 8:00 AM and the first 100 guests in line will receive an Earth Fare gift bag filled with product.
“The NOVEL Lucerne community was and remains a natural fit for Earth Fare,” said Earth Fare Chief Sustainability Officer Randy Talley. “We look forward to once again welcoming familiar faces through our doors and continuing to be an essential part of this vibrant neighborhood.”
Located at the confluence of the thriving SoDo and Downtown neighborhoods, NOVEL Lucerne provides residents convenient access to shopping, dining, trail parks, and more. The area is within walking distance to the Orlando Health Campus, Lake Lucerne, and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The mixed-use community features 375 luxury residences with a mix of one- two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Luxury amenities include a resort style pool, 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, and private dog park.

About Earth Fare
Earth Fare, an established natural food market previously spanning 50 stores, filed for bankruptcy in early February of 2020. In March, a loyal customer and local Asheville business leader, Dennis Hulsing purchased Earth Fare with the vision to re-establish stores in select communities across the East Coast. Supported by the original founders, local advocates, and previous Earth Fare Team Members, they began the renewed mission to improve lives by making healthy food available to everyone. Currently Earth Fare operates 20 locations across eight states with ongoing plans for future expansion.
