CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 24, 2018) – The Homebuilders Association of Greater Charlotte recognized Crescent Communities with its 2018 Community of the Year award for Masons Bend at its 33rd annual Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence Awards (MAME) held April 12th at The Westin in Uptown.
Masons Bend is a thoughtfully planned new home community in Fort Mill, SC, designed to honor a beautiful natural setting while incorporating features that appeal to today’s active, social families. Located along the Catawba River, Masons Bend is just 30 minutes from Uptown Charlotte. In naming Masons Bend its Community of the Year, the Homebuilders Association noted its convenient access to the Queen City and highway travel, while maintaining a peaceful, small town feel complete with a lush natural environment and access to parks and recreational areas. The community also gives a nod to the area’s history with distinct architectural styles in keeping with the traditions of the surrounding area. Convenient access to well-regarded schools and low taxes also make Masons Bend an ideal place to call home.
Rich with opportunities for active families, Masons Bend offers community amenities unique to its natural setting on the Catawba, including wooded hiking and biking trails connected to the Carolina Thread Trail, a series of parks and gathering spaces and access to kayaks and canoes via a launch. More traditional amenities, including a junior Olympic pool and clubhouse, will also be completed in late spring.
“We are honored by this recognition from the Homebuilders Association of Greater Charlotte that speaks volumes to our commitment to build community and better people’s lives,” said Scott Widener, President of Crescent Communities’ single family business and Fielding Homes. “We’ve had a dedicated team, including our vice president of land, James Martin, and development director, Joe Walker, on the ground crafting this amazing community from the start. Their commitment has been instrumental in curating a rich lifestyle experience making Masons Bend a sought-after community.”
Fielding Homes, Crescent Communities’ single-family homebuilding business is actively building in Masons Bend, along with Saussy Burbank and the Cunnane Group. There are eight decorated model homes available to tour, including six Fielding homes models.
Crescent Communities launched Fielding Homes in 2016 with two active Charlotte-area communities, Masons Bend and Paddlers Cove in Lake Wylie, and has since added Chapel Cove in sought-after Southwest Charlotte and expanded into the Raleigh market with Forest Ridge in Hillsborough and Trinity Creek in Holly Springs.
The Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte is comprised of builders, developers and professionals from associated industries throughout the region. Each year at the much-anticipated MAME awards homebuilders and sales professionals are recognized for achievements in sales, marketing, design and construction.
