CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 24, 2018) – NOVEL NoDa by Crescent Communities announced today the parking deck at the recently opened NOVEL NoDa multifamily and mixed use community is now open adding an additional 120 spaces available for public use. Located at 424 East 36th Street in Charlotte, the community has direct access to the 36th Street LYNX station and is just steps away from the neighborhood’s shops, breweries, restaurants and entertainment.
The NOVEL NoDa parking deck will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the first hour of parking free. Customers will be able to use the Parkmobile app as a convenient and quick way to pay. Rates are as follows:
· First 60 minutes are free
· 60-90 minutes - $3
· $3 per hour after 90 minutes
· $20 maximum per 24-hour period
The 580-space deck, with 120 spaces allotted for public use, will bring much needed and desired covered, public parking to the city’s arts and entertainment district. Despite road closures and construction, the deck can be accessed from 35th Street by way of North Davidson Street. The public will have access to the parking deck via 36th Street when the road reopens in July 2018.
“NoDa is one of the most inviting parts of our city, but it is no secret that parking can be a challenge,” said Katie Maloomian, development manager. “NOVEL NoDa’s premium location gave us a unique opportunity to bring the NoDa community some parking relief, and with the light rail extension now open the entire neighborhood is much more accessible.”
In a nod to the eclectic neighborhood, the parking deck serves as the canvas for a massive mural created in partnership with Goodyear Arts. Measuring in at nearly 280’ wide and 60’ tall, the work of art symbolizes connectivity – both through the adjacent light-rail station at 36th Street and in a larger sense of communication. The football field-sized mural aims to capture the uniqueness of the NoDa neighborhood and the connection between residents, their roots and their loved ones.
Located just four stops from Uptown, NOVEL NoDa is the place to connect with the pulse of Charlotte’s most unique neighborhood. Prospective residents can choose from thoughtfully-designed studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans featuring modern finishes with exceptional lifestyle amenities to match. Within the community, residents have access to a boutique dog park, pet salon, communal workshop and a community courtyard with beer garden, grilling area, pool and fire pit, as well as access to the skyline terrace with incredible views of Uptown Charlotte. Residents will also have unparalleled access to the 30,000-square-foot retail portion of NOVEL NoDa featuring recently announced tenants, Wooden Robot and Idlewild cocktail bar.
