A 'People First' Focus at Crescent Communities
Crescent Communities operates in pursuit of our vision: Build Community. Better People’s Lives. Together with our core values, we use this vision as a lens for guiding decision-making in all areas of our business as well as the well-being of our employees.
As the modern working environment continues to evolve, Crescent Communities is doubling down on our “people first” mentality as we continue to find ways to support our team, both in and outside of the office. Our hybrid office/remote work model was in place well before the pandemic to provide our team members the flexibility necessary to prioritize their families as well as their mental and physical health. Our flexible offerings, paired with employee feedback surveys, clear job progression paths, stay interviews, an open-door policy, and internal task forces to address employee needs, have helped us weather and recover from the “Great Resignation” experienced by many employers in 2021.
As we implemented new offerings, we also recognize the need to expand our diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) efforts. We are proud to share our first ever DE&I report, which published earlier this year and demonstrates our commitment to and accountability for creating real impact in our community and beyond. The culture of Crescent Communities has long encouraged our colleagues and leaders to embody our value statement: “Do What’s Right.” While we are proud of what we have already accomplished as a company, we understand that this is an ongoing journey with no finish line.
