CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – (Oct. 24, 2025) Crescent Communities, a nationally recognized market-leading real estate investor, developer, and operator of mixed-use communities and industrial projects, together with Fortius Capital Partners, today announced that Amazon has officially signed a lease at AXIAL Rapid Commerce, a 449,000-square-foot rear-load industrial development in Charlotte. The lease marks a major milestone for the project and underscores the strategic appeal of Charlotte as a hub for national logistics and e-commerce operations.

“Amazon’s commitment to AXIAL Rapid Commerce validates the long-term vision behind this development,” said Chase Kerley, Industrial Managing Director at Crescent Communities. “From the beginning, we set out to create a next-generation logistics hub, one that could meet the demands of high-volume operators with a focus on speed, access, and sustainability. We’re proud to deliver a space that supports Amazon’s regional growth while reinforcing Charlotte’s role as a critical link in the national supply chain.”

Located within the 1.5 million-square-foot Rapid Commerce Park, AXIAL Rapid Commerce offers direct access to Charlotte Douglas International Airport, I-485, and I-85. The site enables tenants to reach over 50% of the U.S. population in a single day’s drive and 75% within two days – making it a central point for logistics, manufacturing, and distribution.

The state-of-the-art facility includes 3,850 square feet of office space, 338 auto parking spaces, 106 trailer parking spaces, two drive-in doors, and multiple storefronts. It features 36-foot clear heights, abundant dock doors, and is designed to meet the operational needs of a wide range of users. The space was developed to LEED standards, incorporating over a 14% reduction in embodied carbon during construction, along with sustainable features such as heat island reduction, advanced recycling systems, and environmentally responsible materials.
