May 7 '26

NASHVILLE, Tennessee, (May 7, 2026): Crescent Communities, a nationally recognized, market-leading real estate investor, developer and operator of mixed-use communities, today announced the groundbreaking of NOVEL Richland Creek, a multifamily and mixed-use community in West Nashville that blends creativity, wellness, and connection to nature.

Located within Lion’s Head Village near the intersection of White Bridge Pike and Harding Pike, NOVEL Richland Creek will deliver 277 apartment homes and approximately 4,800 square feet of activated ground-floor retail. The mixed-use community is positioned along the Richland Creek Greenway, offering residents direct access to outdoor recreation while remaining minutes from Nashville’s major employment centers, including Vanderbilt University, Ascension Saint Thomas West, and Nashville State Community College.

“NOVEL Richland Creek is designed to connect directly to one of West Nashville’s most compelling natural assets,” said Simcha Ward, Director of Development at Crescent Communities. “By extending the Richland Creek Greenway experience into the community, anchored by ground-floor retail at the new trailhead, we’re creating a place for creators and doers to gather, create, and recharge in a way that’s both social and restorative.”

Designed with Crescent Communities’ signature attention to local character and lifestyle-driven placemaking, NOVEL Richland Creek will feature studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes with elevated finishes and highly functional layouts. The community’s amenity program reflects a lifestyle rooted in connection, creativity and balance, featuring a lobby with café and wine bar, trailhead access to the Richland Creek Greenway, maker and wellness spaces, coworking and book club room areas, a rooftop pool, and thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor gathering spaces.

“It's a pleasure to break ground on another development with the Crescent Communities team,” said Brian Fraser, associate principal at KTGY, NOVEL Richland Creek’s architecture partner. “I'm excited to help bring this site to life, especially with the greenway extension that enhances our connection to this beautiful neighborhood. NOVEL Richland Creek is going to feel like a very special place to live when everything is said and done. As we go into construction, I look forward to continuing collaboration with the great Crescent team that worked so hard to make it happen.”

Strategically located near the intersection of White Bridge Pike and Harding Pike in Lion’s Head Village, NOVEL Richland Creek is part of Stockbridge Capital Group’s long-term vision to enhance and reimagine the shopping center, transforming the area into a more walkable, connected, mixed-use destination. As NOVEL Richland Creek is built, Lion’s Head Village will be enhanced with a new parking deck near Trader Joe’s, a traffic signal, enhanced pedestrian infrastructure, landscaping, and upgraded signage.

NOVEL Richland Creek builds on Crescent Communities’ strong presence in the Nashville metropolitan area and throughout Middle Tennessee. Its legacy communities include NOVEL Edgehill, NOVEL Harpeth Heights, NOVEL West Nashville, NOVEL Music Row, NOVEL Bellevue Place, NOVEL Lockwood Glen, and Crescent Cool Springs. Additional communities under construction include RENDER Manchester Farms in Murfreesboro and HARMON West Meade, further expanding Crescent’s multifamily footprint across the region.

NOVEL Richland Creek is being developed in partnership with Stockbridge Capital Group, with financing provided by J.P. Morgan. Project partners include KTGY (architect), ESG (interior design), EM Structural (Structural Engineer), Lighthouse Engineering (MEP Engineer), Barge Civil Associates (civil engineer), and Hawkins Partners (landscape architect).

Nationwide, Crescent Communities continues to experience significant growth with $7.2 billion of residential and commercial investments and developments in various stages of construction, operations, and planning. That pipeline includes 15,300 multi- and single-family build-to-rent units; 58,000 square feet of complementary retail space; and 7.5 million square feet of office, industrial, and life-sciences facilities. With a focus on environmental sustainability and wellness, Crescent Communities is a leading recipient of LEED, NGBS (National Green Building Standard), Fitwel, and WELL certifications.
