Crescent Communities Celebrates Grand Opening of NOVEL Uptown in the Heart of Denver
DENVER (Nov 4, 2025): Crescent Communities, a nationally recognized, market-leading real estate investor, developer, and operator of mixed-use communities, today announced the grand opening of NOVEL Uptown, its newest multifamily development in Denver. Located at the dynamic intersection of 16th and Logan in the city’s culturally rich Uptown neighborhood, NOVEL Uptown offers a bold take on urban living with expressive interiors, immersive community programming, and a strong connection to the surrounding walkable district.
Designed to celebrate personality, diversity, and connection, NOVEL Uptown offers residents a lifestyle-driven experience that blends expressive amenities with immersive community programming. It begins with Corvus Coffee, a local favorite and Crescent’s second partnership with the Denver-based roaster following a successful opening at NOVEL RiNo. By evening, the café transitions into a craft beer and cocktail bar. For residents, “The Nook” provides a private coworking and gathering space – offering flexible work areas by day and hosting events, speaker series, and community programming at night. The 10th-floor Vinyl Room offers an intimate lounge for music lovers, while the High Dive rooftop pool delivers resort-style relaxation with cabanas and sweeping views of the city, the Capitol, and the Rocky Mountains. Additional spaces like the Capitol indoor/outdoor Lounge, Hawthorn rooftop grilling areas with an outdoor fireplace, and a fully equipped fitness studio support every lifestyle rhythm.
Beyond its amenities, NOVEL Uptown is animated by a curated art collection featuring original works from local and international artists, a resident-only bike share program, and seamless access to the best of the Uptown neighborhood. Just steps away, an eclectic mix of dive bars, bespoke cafes, and local restaurants line 17th Street’s famed Restaurant Row, while nearby Colfax Avenue pulses with the energy of historic music venues like the Fillmore Auditorium and Ogden Theatre. Surrounded by elegant brick rowhouses, tree-lined streets, and iconic landmarks like the Colorado State Capitol and Denver Art Museum, the neighborhood offers a blend of creativity, culture, and community that feels unique to Denver and distinctly NOVEL.
“NOVEL Uptown was built to celebrate what makes this neighborhood – and its people – so special,” said Ben Krasnow, Managing Director at Crescent Communities. “It’s a place where individuality is encouraged and community is cultivated through authentic experiences, inclusive design, and a location that puts everything within reach. NOVEL Uptown will complement our other multifamily communities in Denver by offering a distinct take on modern living.”
The five-story community includes 261 apartment homes, offering a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. Each residence features contemporary finishes, large windows, smart home technology, and creative design details inspired by the vibrant culture of Uptown Denver.
“We’re excited to deliver an elevated, best-in-class residential living experience to Denver’s Uptown neighborhood alongside the team at Crescent Communities with the opening of NOVEL Uptown,” said Jason Pappas, Director, U.S. Residential at Oxford Properties Group. “Residents of this evolving city are looking for more than just a place to live – they’re seeking community, connectivity, and design-forward spaces that reflect their lifestyle. NOVEL Uptown directly embodies that vision and meets those demands, and we’re proud to see it come to life.”
Financing for the project is provided by BMO and Oxford Properties Group is the asset manager. Project partners include Tryba Architects (architecture), Kimley-Horn (civil engineering), Dig Studio (landscape architecture), ESG and Milender White (interior design and general contracting, respectively).
NOVEL Uptown marks Crescent’s second NOVEL-branded community to celebrate its grand opening in Denver this fall, with NOVEL RiNo, a larger-scale community located in the heart of Denver’s River North Arts District, celebrating its grand opening in September. Crescent also recently broke ground on NOVEL HiFi, a highly anticipated community within Flatiron Crossing’s reimagined 25-acre HiFi development. Last fall, Crescent Communities celebrated the sale of NOVEL White Fence Farm in Lakewood, a modern homestead-style community grounded in local tradition.
Nationwide, Crescent Communities continues to experience significant growth with $7.2 billion of residential and commercial investments and developments in various stages of construction, operations, and planning. That pipeline includes 15,300 multi- and single-family build-to-rent units; 58,000 square feet of complementary retail space; and 7.5 million square feet of office, industrial, and life-sciences facilities. With a focus on environmental sustainability and wellness, Crescent Communities is a leading recipient of LEED, NGBS (National Green Building Standard), Fitwel, and WELL certifications.
