Crescent Communities Expands Western U.S. Industrial Presence with Addition of John Paul Mulhern as Managing Director for AXIAL
PHOENIX (Nov 4, 2025): Crescent Communities, a nationally recognized, market-leading real estate investor, developer, and operator of mixed-use and industrial communities, is pleased to announce that John Paul Mulhern has joined the company as Managing Director of Industrial for the Western U.S., overseeing development activity for its rapidly expanding AXIAL Industrial footprint across Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. Based in Phoenix, Mulhern will focus on sourcing, capitalizing, and delivering best-in-class industrial developments that meet the evolving needs of tenants and investors throughout the region.
Mulhern brings more than 14 years of experience in commercial real estate, spanning development, capital markets, and brokerage across multiple U.S. markets and asset classes. Most recently, he served as Director of Real Estate Development at Ryan Companies, where he was responsible for identifying and entitling land, underwriting projects, securing capital, and managing design, construction, leasing, and sales activities. During his tenure, he led key industrial and data center developments including Innovate48, Chandler Freeways Corporate Center, and Southwest Crossing Data Park, among others, totaling millions of square feet of high-quality product across the Phoenix metro. His career is marked by a consistent record of sourcing and executing complex industrial projects, cultivating enduring client relationships, and leading high-performing teams with integrity, accountability, and collaboration at the core.
