Crescent Communities Strengthens Central Texas Leadership with Appointment of Marcy Phillips as Managing Director
AUSTIN (Nov. 10, 2025): Crescent Communities, a nationally recognized, market-leading real estate investor, developer, and operator of mixed-use communities, announced today that Marcy Phillips has joined the team as Managing Director, Central Texas. Based in Austin, Phillips will chart the course for strategy, development, and execution across Crescent’s growing multifamily presence in the heart of Texas.
With more than 25 years of experience shaping skylines and neighborhoods in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Chicago, and Kansas City, Phillips has earned a reputation for her strategic, forward-thinking approach to multifamily investment and development. She founded MRP Delta Investments and previously served as Senior Vice President of Development at Ryan Companies and Vice President of Development at AMLI Residential. Over the course of her career, she has delivered more than 15,000 multifamily residences and 380,000 square feet of retail and office, totaling over $3.5B in urban and mixed-use projects. A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Phillips holds a BBA in Real Estate and Land Development, Finance, & Risk Management, along with credentials as a LEED AP and licensed Texas real estate professional. She actively contributes to Urban Land Institute (ULI), the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) and CREW Network (CREW) and earned back-to-back recognition as a “Profiles in Power” finalist by the Austin Business Journal and “one of ATX’s most influential trailblazers in CRE”.
“What drew me to Crescent Communities is the team’s clear commitment to thoughtful growth – where design, sustainability, and a sense of purpose intersect,” said Phillips. “Central Texas is evolving at an extraordinary pace, and I’m eager to roll up my sleeves to help shape places that not only reflect this momentum, but also serve as lasting, inspiring parts of the urban fabric.”
In her new role at Crescent Communities, Phillips will lead multifamily efforts in Central Texas, including guiding the growth of NOVEL and HARMON developments in and around both Austin and San Antonio – two markets where demand for community-centric and highly amenitized living continues to climb.
“Central Texas continues to be one of the most dynamic growth regions in the country, and Marcy’s arrival signals our belief in its enormous future,” said Jay Curran, President of Multifamily at Crescent Communities. “Her entrepreneurial spirit, combined with decades of hands-on experience in these markets, gives her a unique voice and vision. She’ll help us build communities that meet the coming momentum of the region.”
Nationwide, Crescent Communities continues to experience significant growth with $7.2 billion of residential and commercial investments and developments in various stages of construction, operations, and planning. That pipeline includes 15,300 multi- and single-family build-to-rent units; 58,000 square feet of complementary retail space; and 7.5 million square feet of office, industrial, and life-sciences facilities.
