Stanley Black & Decker, one of the world's largest tool and storage companies, opened a new manufacturing facility in York County, SC. The new operations brought $31 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 500 new jobs. Stanley Black & Decker occupied the 345,000-square-foot facility for the manufacture and assembly of DEWALT cordless power tools, located in Lakemont Business Park in Fort Mill, S.C., a 864-acre development considered to be one of the best distribution locations in the Carolinas. The park is minutes from Charlotte’s central business district, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and provides excellent access from I-77.
