Crescent Communities is proud to share our first Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Annual Report, which demonstrates our commitment to and accountability for creating real impact in our community and beyond. While we are proud of what we have accomplished to date, we recognize and understand that this is an ongoing journey; there is no finish line. We are steadfast in our commitment to making an impact in our company and in our community in alignment with our mission to Build Community and Better People’s Lives. 

The culture of Crescent Communities has long encouraged our colleagues and leaders to embody the value statement, “Do What’s Right.” We also recognize that we have the opportunity to do much more and to lead others in this commitment. This includes a team made of diverse backgrounds, experiences, styles, genders, and races, and an organization that values diverse perspectives, supports team member engagement, and fuels strong business results.

Our team has worked together to develop strategies for the following focus areas to support our commitment to DE&I, including:

  • Leadership engagement and action
  • Providing learning experiences for all team members
  • Implementing an intentional recruiting strategy for current and future team members alike
  • Forging partnerships with external and community partners, specifically minority- and women-owned businesses
