Crescent Communities Announces Leadership Updates Across Key Growth Markets
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Sept. 2, 2026): Crescent Communities, a nationally recognized real estate investor, developer and operator of mixed-use communities, today announced a series of leadership promotions and expanded market responsibilities across its multifamily platform, reinforcing the company's continued investment in high-growth regions across the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Texas.
“These leadership updates reflect the tremendous depth of experience we have across our team and our continued focus on putting strong leaders in place to advance our strategy in the markets where we see meaningful long-term opportunity,” said Crescent Communities Chairman and CEO, Jay Curran. “Michael, Eric, Marcy, Brandon, and Simcha each bring deep market knowledge, strong relationships and a proven ability to execute complex developments, and these expanded roles will allow them to have an even greater impact on the regions we serve.”
Leadership changes include:
Michael Tubridy: Senior Vice President of Development – Multifamily Product and Experience
Charlotte-based Michael Tubridy has been promoted to Senior Vice President – Multifamily Product and Experience, providing platform-wide leadership to the consistent delivery of excellence in product vision and resident experience. Since joining Crescent Communities in 2013, Tubridy has led the entitlement and development of 21 multifamily and mixed-use communities across the Southeast, representing more than 7,000 residential units and 200,000 square feet of retail space. Tubridy has led over $3 billion in real estate investments over his 22-year career in the industry.
Eric Liebendorfer: Managing Director for Georgia and Florida
Eric Liebendorfer will expand his responsibilities to include Florida, building on his leadership of Crescent Communities’ multifamily investment activity in Georgia. Liebendorfer joined Crescent in 2014 and has held a series of increasingly senior development roles within the company. He will now oversee development across key growth markets in Florida, including Tampa, Jacksonville, and Orlando.
Marcy Phillips: Managing Director for Texas
Marcy Phillips will expand her responsibilities across Texas, building on her current leadership of Crescent Communities’ Central Texas platform to focus on Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Phillips joined Crescent Communities in 2025, bringing more than 25 years of multifamily and mixed-use real estate experience. Her development experience spans Austin, Dallas, Denver, Chicago and Kansas City, with a portfolio totaling more than $3 billion in market capitalization.
Brandon Wright: Managing Director for D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and Raleigh-Durham
Washington, D.C.,-based Brandon Wright will expand his responsibilities to include serving as Managing Director in the Raleigh-Durham market, supporting Crescent’s continued investment and development activity in its home state. Wright joined Crescent in 2019, overseeing multifamily investments across the greater DMV region. His responsibilities include sourcing, entitlement, capitalization, design and execution of new multifamily and mixed-use developments.
Simcha Ward: Managing Director for Nashville and Charlotte
Charlotte-based Simcha Ward will serve as Managing Director for Nashville and Charlotte, expanding his responsibilities across two of Crescent Communities’ core markets. Ward joined Crescent Communities in 2022 as Director of Development, overseeing the development of multifamily communities in Middle Tennessee from concept through disposition. Prior to joining Crescent Communities, Ward built experience across affordable housing and adaptive reuse development, with a background spanning development, architecture and design. He has helped advance complex projects throughout the Southeast and brings deep expertise navigating development strategy and the full project lifecycle.
These leadership updates come amid continued momentum for Crescent Communities across many of these markets. In the Carolinas, the company recently celebrated the grand opening of NOVEL River District, the first multifamily community within its transformative River District master-planned development in Charlotte. In Nashville, Crescent recently broke ground on NOVEL Richland Creek, a 277-unit mixed-use community, and welcomed its first residents to HARMON West Meade, a 173-unit townhome community, both of which are in West Nashville. The company also continues to grow its Florida footprint, with presence across Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville and construction underway on HARMON Ashton Oaks in the Tampa area, while maintaining an active presence across key Texas markets including Dallas and Houston. Together, these milestones reflect Crescent Communities’ continued confidence in the long-term fundamentals of these high-growth markets and its commitment to thoughtfully investing in communities across its national footprint.
